Volunteer with 1010
1010 is a small organization but is trying to build up its volunteer program in order to expand its capacity. We have a variety of opportunities to help us both in our office and working with residents in our buildings. We can work with you to help you get service credit for school, and we can take both short-term and long-term volunteers.
Some of our current volunteer needs include:
Administrative assistant help in our office: filing, paperwork, copying, etc.
Resident services volunteers: if you have a skill or interest that you can share with our residents, we can probably use it! We have residents of all ages who speak multiple languages. We can use tutors, after-school program coordinators, English as a Second Language instructors, exercise instructors, health care services, financial literacy and career training services, instructors in specific hobbies or skills (e.g. the arts, computer technology, cooking, crafting, sports, etc.), and more!
Spanish-speakers and Korean-speakers are especially needed. Volunteer commitment should be for at least 6 months-1 year if possible, but frequency of activities/programs can vary.
